History

Taylored Entertainment was founded in 2003 to provide the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with the best in mobile entertainment. When you hire Taylored Entertainment for your party, you get me, Mitch Taylor, the owner and only DJ for Taylored Entertainment. Taylored Entertainment will never sub-contract out your event to a different DJ, nor "bait-and-switch" you, our valued client. Since there is only one of me, I only do one event per day and the most popular dates for weddings can sometimes sell out a year or two in advance, so I recommend to book early if you can.

I have over 14 years of experience in the DJ industry, including events all over the U.S., Mexico and the Caribbean. I got my start in the DJ world back in 1992, working for my hometown radio station and our local Top 40 station at the same time. I moved from there and did a few mobile events back in Maine where I am originally from until I was hired to spin in the on board club of Carnival Cruise Lines MS Jubilee out of Los Angeles in 1995. From there it was another year with Carnival out of Miami and then a move to the metro Detroit area in 1996. I have spent the past 10 years performing at primarily wedding receptions with over 600 satisfied clients throughout Michigan and Wisconsin.

My experience level is something to definitely consider when searching for DJ entertainment for your event, however there are several other aspects that should be considered when hiring entertainment. We will sit down and meet with you face-to-face before booking to help you in choosing the right entertainment for your event, and upon hiring, meet with you again a month prior to your event to ensure that everything goes as planned. Perfection takes planning, and in most cases, this cannot be achieved with talking with your dj over the phone the week prior to your event.

My bottom line philosophy is this: Whatever it takes to make your event the most memorable and successful it can be.
